Press Release | European Forest Owners on REDIII: Worst provisions avoided, but implementation can be challenging

On 30 March, the three EU institutions reached an agreement on the REDIII proposal. The provisional agreement confirms the important role of sustainably managed forests to provide raw material that substitutes fossil-based energy together with many other benefits to the society.

First meetings of two new Civil Dialogue Groups and the new CAP Network Assembly

CEPF General Assembly 2023 took place in Hämeenlinna, Finland on 7 – 9 June. The annual meeting gathered CEPF members from all over Europe and was hosted by CEPF’s Finnish member MTK – Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners.

Forest and Nature Directors Meetings under the Swedish presidency of the Council of the EU

In May 2023, the Swedish Presidency of the Council organised a meeting for EU Forest Directors in Skellefteå and one for the EU Nature Directors in Färnebofjärden national park.
